the originator

Can you picture me with a smoking gun in my hand, posing like an android, throwing a couple hand-held plastics that instead of annihilating all in its path, actually creates stuff (never mind what) as it bounces along? Then when I am done, I lift an arched eyebrow ever so slightly and look straight into the camera and go: “I will be back.”

No right? Figured.

Yeah, so that’s what am called, by this personality test people who are compelled to divide all of us into 16 different categories and place us into boxes based on some statistics and a bunch of questions we answer “honestly”. I mean, really, when did we ever not guess on a multiple choice scenario?

ENTP – The “Originator”

ENTPs are logical, innovative, curious and downright inventive. They see possibilities for improvement everywhere and possess the ability to understand complex concepts. ENTPs are introspective and carefree nonconformists. They often neglect the more common areas of life while pursuing new solutions. ENTPs can be good conversationalists and exciting company.

NT Temperament – The “Intellectuals”

NTs are introspective, logical and on a constant quest for knowledge. They are practical and unsentimental in their approach to problem solving. The actions of an NT are precise and follow a systematic course. Abstract, theoretical and technically adept, NTs are naturally inventive. They can also be described as being analytical, intellectual, inquisitive, independent and complex.

Some of those words make sense. However,I have a little peeve with a line. I often neglect the more common areas of life? I only wish I had the luxury! Oh well, can’t win them all I suppose.

I peeked further and saw all those fancy famous personalities that were also clubbed in the same box as I. Most were comedians or artists, right up my alley I think to myself. Then I looked again. Sure, I could be the Coyote dressed like Kramer, or a Mathew Perry meets Bugs Bunny.

Then I scrolled further and found this nice list. The perfect career for an ENTP. Considering how I’ve leap-frogged my way through the adult years, I decided I’d pay some serious attention, after all, they’ve analyzed me and slotted me into 3% of the population all around, they must know what they saying?

So yeah, what do you think? Am I an ENTP? More importantly, what are you? Yes, it does require an email id and stuff, but come now, you must have a junk email id you use for such purposes? It’s fun. No, seriously. It’s fun. The least you get out of it is a blog post, and a few giggles?

  6. Funny! Right about the time you were commenting on my blog, I was writing a post on Typealyzer – where you can find out the MBTI of any blog!

I’m an iNTJ, and the #1 hits I get on my blog from search engines are related to iNTJ, as I’ve compiled a list of resources and links for iNTJs on my blog.

Looking forward to spending more time reading your stuff…
