  1. That is super awesome – wow! Hmmm – let me see – I have remained at the same dress size for ages now and doubt if I can ever drop down any further :-)!

  2. upsi – change is but the only constant. wait till I see a cheesecake party, I’d fit right back in. :)

Archana – Girl you can’t compare yourself with us moms. Especially me, I ballooned out and in 3 times. Even a pinprick doesn’t inflate me these days :)

  3. rads, good for you girl! 1 dress size is a big loss, indeed.
change is but the only constant – unfortunate, but true :-(
I am waxing right now, what with send-off dinners almost every day.

  4. rads:

i am a sore loser, not only am i sore when i lose but i also gain back what i lost!

“change is but the only constant. wait till I see a cheesecake party, I’d fit right back in.”

i think what you want to say is ‘change might be the only constant, but i dare anyone to move my cheese(cake)’ ;-).

  5. Er its kinda ambiguous. I first thought you gained a dress size;).

Anyway good job. And there is one more benefit. Your husbands wallet is also going to loose a size

  6. sb – u welcome. :)

Schmetter – Of course it can happen to you, just skip all foods starting with ‘c’ :)

dushti – thanku! Stop rubbing it in will ya? :p

baliga – what would I do without your wise little one-liners? ;-)

    naveen – that’s so my line! :D

ok – To read a ‘girlstuff’ post you need to step into our shoes. Well, some things just don’t come cheap! :p

sk – thanks, newbie :) How? Well, it’s easy. Drink tons of water, skip the ‘c’ foods, and start walking. I dance though. Also most importantly just fall in love :))
    Nice voice you have! :)

  7. fall in love? with the same person? again? ;-)

1 letter out of 26 doesn’t do it for me, I am afraid. My only choice is to staple my mouth :-|

  8. Muni – well, there are kids reading my post, let me not scandalize them ;-)
lol. oh please it’s just food and it’s just a few pounds, they melt all in due time. :)

  9. leo – lol, I so am not! btw, thats my line :p

aamaa, anyway you going home and all, so focus on food, mom’s food, good food, no thinking anything else :)

  10. talking of c foods to avoid, i just added ‘cheese’ to my do-not-eat list yesterday.

btw, this issue had more to do with veggie morals than a weight reduction related motive. until now, my policy had been somewhat of a ‘don’t ask, won’t know’ policy. it changed yesterday when i asked the dough boy, and now suddenly the word ‘enzymes’ is not as innocent as it was before = it reeks of rennet. :-(

it was easy for me to let go of the yummy gelatin laced pop tarts (once i learned where gelatin comes from). this is going to be tougher, a lot toughter. let’s see how i do with the all-pervading cheese.

  11. sb – youve heard of ‘ignornace is bliss’ rt? :) It works great here in the west for us doggone veggies. Ive stopped asking, as it is I have but just 2 choices to choose from anywhere I go. No point killing ourselves.

Hey btw, cheese is good for you. In small quantities that is :)

  12. s.b., let us know how the cheese deprivation fares. Despite visiting blog.fatfreevegan.com on a daily basis, valiant attempts to give up cheese have failed miserably when one is confronted by fresh buffalo mozzarella and melted cheese.

  13. s.b: How is that getting off cheese thing going? If it is going too well, we should meet (you in bay area?). May be I can give it a shot at breaking your will :)

terri: You are banned from mentioning mouth watering cheese foods!

  14. rads/tdna/terri:

’tis been about a month without cheese* now. though that was definitely not the intent, sad to say, it has not dented my weight one teeny weeny bit :-(.

    tdna:

nope, not in any bay area right now. used to be in a bay area until a couple of years ago – not the bay you are thinking (think recent nfl champions).

anyway, me being as desi as they come, there is enough gravitational pull in ‘your’ bay area, so who knows, you might soon get your shot at testing my will-power :-). [if you plan such a test, note that cheesecake will not be permitted within limb-reach of me]

    * –> outside the parameters of this discussion is the piece of trial/freebie dessert that jettisoned itself into my mouth as i walked along a supermarket aisle a couple of weeks ago (it disappeared down my gullet so quickly that i had no time to ascertain its antecedents).

I'd love to hear what you have to say, do write back!
